My boat with twin engine with traditional stuffing box setup.
However, there is a single stern tube greaser for both. Generally at the end of a day I give 1/4 of a turn.
However, it occurs to me that a slight blockage on one side would mean that the grease would just be delivered to a single stuffing box. There's a single 8mm ODplastic tube to a T connector and then two separate pipes to each box.
I do fairly regularly (once per cruise) check the temps of each stern tube with a IR thermometer.
But adding something like a Y tap to the setup would make me feel slightly easier!
What do other twin engines boats have? The only ones that I've seen have a small screw in greaser per tube. The stern greaser seems a better idea.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
