single cyl saab

Hi all, I can get a single cylinder Saab with gearbox, engine has a little external rust, but is probably sound inside. Gearbox is of the mechanical type. Not sure of the HP, but I guess it might be 8 to 12hp, heavy flywheel. I have no need for it now, but I like to rescue it. It might get destroyed otherwise.

Are there parts available from the manufacturer? It also looks like the seawater may have been drained when it was stored, so I got the gut feeling this engine is good.

Any advice? What is it worth?

He is the expert on Sabb engines, could rebuild them blindfolded. I have a 2 cyl in my yacht which purrs on and on. One or two minor problems solved over the phone (luckily as boat is in Greece!)
