Have WP10 wheel pilot by Simrad, which needs replacement belt, not the main one, need the one which come off the drive motor, looks like it was toothed. Does any one know if you can still get spare parts for it? The last belt I got was the main wheel belt which I dont need.

Parts very difficult to get hold of. I had similar problem in Ramsgate and ended up having to buy a complete new pilot (WP30). Now I'm having difficulty with depth sounder by same company. The Navico site may be able to help. E-mail their technical support team.

If you have any luck......mail me!! I'm dreading the belt going on this pilot and having to find a replacement.

Regards

Shouldn't be a problem getting one from a commercial vehicle factors if you take the old one as a pattern.I used to deal with a firm in Stevenage for belts etc.cant remember the name now but it is a national chain.Try going into your local Partco and asking.Simrad won't be making there own belts.Mail me if you have no luck and I'll ring a mate who lives in Stevenage and try to find the name

In my search for depth sounder circuit diagrams (Navico), I was given this contact for Navico spares.

A.W. Marine at Haslar Marina, Gosport, Hampshire. Tel: 023 9250 1207.

You could try them.

I didn't realise it was a belt drive, I presumed it would be a cog and track arrangement.

Do you have the blow up diagrams for the WP10 by any chance?

Thank you for that. After writing that I carried out a quick search and noted the WP models have been finished. I think I may order a spare belt to carry in the spares box.

I particularly chose the WP10 to get away from belts... doh!
