Simrad wheel pilot WP10, malfunction

I have a simrad wheel pilot WP10 which is needing some new electronic parts for it, this the position reader/senser from the motor drive.Ithink it shows how many turns have been made. The drive motor had filled up with water around the motor and reader, Motor is fine, but the reader/senser is malfunctioning, the main electronic appear to be fine. The auto helm keeps going into standby! Can anyone help please.
