Just to get you started.....

here

and here

Tiller pilots seem to be a topic of discussion currently.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What has made you look at Simrad as supposed to Raymarine - part of my question /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

word of warning with simrad, i sent my tillerpilot of for repair (only a year old) and it took 4 months for them to get it back to me.
absolutely ridiculous and that was with a lot of calling them to ask where it was

Hi,
Simrad are great pilots. I chose Raymarine st1000+, only as it has an nmea and seatalk interface, i.e. it will follow waypoints, and also steer to my wind instrument, and also not a huge difference in price between the 2 pilots
Hope this helps.
Matt.

Thanks for the tips guys, esp.JMKENT, cheers.

I think simrad have bad customer service in the past, but i think they appear to be trying.

I'll give them ago.

Cheers

Simon.

I also had my TP10 repaired free of charge (drive belt replaced)just after the 2 year warranty was up and it was sent on a Mon and arrived back repaired Fri the same week. Pity it didn't last more than 6 months though. next time did it myself, the belt cost £6.00
