Simrad CP30 &/or 32

Have a friend going to the USA soon and need people's opinions on the above plotters. They appear to be very cheap over there.
We would use it outside at the upper helm position.
Any pros and cons would be gratefully received.

We have simrad CX34. Very solid & well made, good visibility in sunlight, but menus etc take a bit of getting used to.

CP30 and 32 are the old models that were discontinued some years ago.

Replaced by CP31 & CX33

There are also the "big" display versions available.

At the time they were reasonable units, but now would be limited as only take the earlier c-map cards not C-Max ones
