My Simpson Lawrence 600/900 anchor windlass has developed a fault in that it lets the anchor chain out but will not bring it in. I believe the fault to lie in the motor needle roller clutch bearing.
Does anyone know of an old windlass or, even better, a website where I can find an equivalent needle roller clutch bearing reference? The Simpson Lawrence ref no. is 60540K09, part no. 19 in the user manual.
I'm hoping that a good service and clean will solve the problem but am planning for a replacement bearing if necessary.
Hauling in 25 metres of 8mm chain with a 35lb/16kg anchor has proved spectacularly unpopular!

I had a very similar problem with my SL Sprint 1000 shortly after buying my current boat 13 years ago. From recollection mine went up but not down, but I may be wrong.

Anyway I took it off the boat and took it apart down to every last bearing, it was totally dried up. Eventually I tracked the problem down to two cogs of different sizes that seems locked together but after some work in a vice weren’t supposed to be. In short, a really thorough cleaning and repacking with grease restored it to full working order and it’s still perfectly fine. I did get a replacement gasket from the chap in Paisley but expect you could make one if need be. I would be optimistic you don’t need new parts.
