After much thought I am in the process of having my bathing platform tek-deked. Pics to follow when completed. To offset some of the cost I am going to sell the davits. They are Simpson hanging type (all stainless) and can take up to 250kg but are missing the extension arms so you have to tie the boat to them. Is this a fleabay item or is there a better place? Any idea what they are worth? I had thought about scrap given the price of stainless steel.

Complete and in good condition somewhere between £800 & £1500
Saw a set at a boat jumble last year for £1000 and they were not in the best nick.
Would suggest getting hold of the extension arms and replacing any items such as the wire etc as this will make it easier to sell.

I have bought used Davits a couple of time previously and am currently in the market (but not for these thanks - feet not right and missing arms may mean a lot of expense on top of buying the Davits)

Having watched them on eBay it think Jurgen is estimating a little high.....they don't seem to shift as they used to and expecting a grand is a little optimistic for a complete set IMHO. I bought for nearer £500 last time and they were complete. The slide out arms are necessary for a seagoing boat and getting replacements is unlikely to be cheap if it is possible.....
I know people ask for higher prices but do they sell??

There is a buyer for everything.....I am sure you will find someone who wants them. Not everyone who carries a tender goes to sea......

I still have a set of whittall ed17 100kg davits, concealed base model so you don't see the studs.

Rob you may be able to get the arms from Cooney at swanwick.

Greg my davits going on eBay soon.
