Prompted by the recent thread on alternatives to Navionics - I have Navionics on phone and tablet with several chart sets (because I'm anorak enough to like to follow my track when on ferries, etc.). The boat has a Garmin Echomap. With the Navionics it's easy to set "corse up" display, whilst the Garmin seems fixed "North up". Is there anyway to change the Garmin mode as I find it very confusing when heading South!

You can set it to course up, but it will only work when moving, or there isn't a course. Or, if you fit a heading sensor (maybe part of an autopilot) you can have heading up.

Sorry, I should have explained, it's Echomap Plus 60 - so quite an old model.
I can't find an equivalent setting described in the manual. It just seems odd that such (well to me it is) useful feature isn't included. The display shows the course OK, but the chart display remains with North at the top.
