Is it possible to buy a Movistar (or something similar) sim card here in the UK for eventual use in Spain, thus getting over the inevitable language problems if purchased in Spain?
Also what are the charges in use - for both GRS and GPRS?

You will need an open phone, usually one on a contract here in the UK or Virgin mobile phones are oipen to quite a few sim cards.

I have 2 Movistar cards, one I use for voice and the other in another phone permanently linked to the computer. However, computer was stolen in Barcelona and Pantaenius are now claiming not to have received Police Report so won't pay out. Took them three months to come up with that excuse! Was a desktop PC with flat panel etc. but this time going for Laptop so will only get it out when needing it, so phone won't be connected permanently.

The card is on Movistar Activa and costs less than 10p a min. max to dial up a Spanish ISP for your internet connection...I use Telepolis. Have programme for that as well if you require.

Not sure how much credit is on the card, but back in Spain next week, back here week after so will let you know if you are interested.
