Some old friends first arrived in Barbados in 1961 on board Silver Seal after crossing from the Canaries.
She was designed by Maurice Griffiths, and was built by H King in Pin Mill in 1933.
I looked her up in my 1975 issue of Lloyds Register of Yachts, and she was owned then (1975) by William Walker, and her home port was Portsmouth, so I am assuming that she was sailed back to Britain at some stage.
Does anybody know if she is still in existence?
I will attach a photo that Roy sent me, showing Silver Seal looking rather tiny on the screw lift dry dock here in Barbados (sadly, the dry dock went out of commission in the early 80's).
