The silva 298 used to be called the swiftech M-298. I have one and will happily copy the handbook for the cost of a stamped addressed envelope and a coin in the next RNLI box you pass. I have pm'd you

I've scoured the Internet looking for a manual as well, and drawn a blank, except for mention of it on here.
I bought my M298 ,new, back in 2001, and have just started to use it again, but can't find where on earth I put the manual, so it must have been lost.
It remained unused for a few years because the battery pack got weaker and weaker, till it wouldn't hold any charge and went blank when the PTT button was pressed on full power.
I was very grateful for the tip where someone had carefully split open the battery pack and replaced the innards with eight conventional NIMH AAA cells. They needed great care when soldering them together, but it worked fine, and now it's as good as new, maybe even better with the higher amperage cells available now.
Would anyone be so kind as to point me to where I can download a copy of the Operations Manual ?

I appreciate it was a few years ago but did you ever succeed in obtaining a copy of the manual, pdf or otherwise?
I have inherited my fathers old radio and would like to get it going again just as a reminder of him.
