Helios Silva storm lighter, not impressed

Hi,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silva-Helios-Storm-Lighter/dp/B000LQ3TS8

I have had two, they fail after a while and only provide a very small flame.
Mainly used for rope sealing, so on for some time and lighting my stove.

Any better suggestions gratefully received.

Or just order another one and send the dud one back, again ???

Assume you mean a standard gas lighter wand? (some have straight shafts, some flexible). This Silva one must be special to be worth sending back? They come up regularly at LIDL/ALDI for around £2 and have always lasted several years for me ... hardly worth the bother/cost of refilling.

I have a thing called a 'Spark' multitool refillable windproof lighter that produces an intense blowtorch type flame and also has a small folding knife blade, screwdriver blade, a corkscrew and a bottle opener, it cost just $6.88 in Walmart and somebody here called it the druggies multitool accessory, but it is so useful I bought a second one so I can leave on on board and have one at home also available through amazon here http://www.amazon.com/PREMIUM-SPARK...ll&keywords=spark+windfroof+lighter+multitool
