I find the range of silicone(?) sealants a bit of a minefield to say the least! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I'm looking for possibly 2 x differents sealants to bed 2 GRP panels in my radar arch/cockpit, after removing them to feed a cable.
Product 1 - At the rear of the panel were dabs of something, quite elastic, off white colour.
Product 2 - Around the "seen" areas, between the panels was what I think is a "standard" silicone type selaer - similar to the stuff around baths and basins at home (?). - you know, the stuff that gets everywhere and needs a steady finger to get a good finish ! -
Any tips on products to use, and technique would be great ! The GRP panels are flush, butting up against each other, with nice rounded edges to take the sealant between.
