not exactly a boaty query as I do not see any application that marine adhesive/sealants do not do 100x better but I need to remove a lot of silicone sealant (from the edging of some shower doors - got to accumulate some non-boat credits before winter layup/refit)
The sealant is very well adhered to the painted metal frame and is proving very time consuming to remove mechanically. Is there a smart way of getting this stuff off e.g. a solvent that will remove the sealant but not not damage a paint finshish? Or some sort of abrasive pad that will remove the sealant (the green abrasive kitchen type pads just abrade apart!
Any inspiration to avoid several hours of scraping and rubbing? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
