And it seems to be working fine on my low performance sailing cat. So definitely some inconsistent views/experiences. Rather like coppercoat it seems

How long has it been on? Ours lasted 3 years, after which it was such a disaster it had to be removed, or use the boat for firewood. The roots/spores had grown into the soft coating, and grew through the new layer in weeks.
