I am in the process of replacing a plywood aft deck fitted into a GRP supporting lip. I want to reduce to a minimum any srew/bolt holes securing the deck. I am therefore looking for a suitable adhesive that will also rliably seal the wood/grp joint. I understand sikaflex may do a suitable product... but what grade? are there more suitable products to use?

Nearly there.......

In my experience the best product for this job is 3M 5200 adhesive sealant. It makes an extremely strong bond and is usable above or below the waterline.

One of the skiaflex is also an adhesive sealant like the 3M one

I think it was something like sikaflex 292 - it had 'marine adhesive sealant' written on the tube too

Even attatching ply wood to the fibreglass I would prime the entire board with epoxy prior to attatching, this would give the timber a further protection prior to using an adhesive.

If you do that, you may as well use epoxy to join the deck to the hull. IMO it will be much stronger than Sikaflex (or any other glue/sealant). Just make sure the old GRP is well sanded to give a good "tooth" for the new desk to bond to.

Wobb.

To smeaks: On one hand you wish to use screws which by definition form a RIGID joint.
On the other hand, you wish to....."reduce to a minimum" .... the amount of screws and use Sikaflex as a bonding/sealant, which, by defintion is a FLEXIBLE sealant/bonding agent.
You cannot be half pregnant. There is a minimum amount of screws you HAVE to use to secure integrity. Reducing that number is imo a lousy option. Trust Sikaflex for its sealing excellence but be very circumspect about its long term bonding abilities where salt, water, vibration and flexing are all brought together.
