Sikaflex fails to go off completely

Did some sealing on my fridge with some pretty old Sikaflex. Solid as a rock at the business end, so I stabbed it further down and took some out of the rupture.

Applied with the normal amount of mess (lots). 36 hours later still tacky. I did do some cleaning round with meths & am worried that it has been screwed up by that. Tried wetting it down to promote curing. No luck thus far.

Heat is supposed to be of no avail with a moisture curing sealant, so I haven't yet tried that yet.

Rending of garments and gnashing of teeth underway.

Anyone got any tips?

The Users guide does give +10C to +35C as the application temperature range. If you are below 10C try warming it to above 10C.

Sika say that at 20c it cures at 3mm per 24 hrs, yours will go off, just leave it alone or add some gentle heat. ie a hair dryer not a hot air gun.
