Which product and why?

I have to reseal the side windows in my Amel Super Maramu. I acquired the process from the owner's forum but which product is best?

Where can I procure it in a hurry?

Thank you as always.

Nice looking boat. The windows look like aluminium from the photos I've seen so I would use PU40 available for toolstation in UK. Reason is its about 1/3 the price of Sika and performs as well.

Use butyl tape for sealing Windows and deck fittings. Never goes off, is removable, water tight, and never goes off. Do not use scaly flex. You don't need adhesive

I have had a look on your website but cannot find any photos of the boat.

I have just reglazed my boat with new acrylic windows which are screwed onto the boat and I used butyl tape to seal them. That said I do not know how your windows are secured as the butyl tape has no adhesive properties, only sealant. Should you require a sealant adhesive then it is the Sikaflex or equivalent that you would require. If using Sikaflex you will need the 295i as it has UV resisting properties over the 291. Beware however it is very expensive and depending on surfaces requiring bonding will need sika primers as well.

Regarding your recommendations, I've already arrived at the same conclusions... and fits with Amel wisdom. Many thanks
