Just back from a day at the show and a very agreeable evening with a group of East Coasters including Mr & Mrs FullCircle, Mr & Mrs Saguday and their charming sons, and Mrs and Mr Chatting Lil inter alia. Really nice to renew auld acquaintances and make some new ones; YBW is never better than when it brings people together.

I got a pair of deck shoes but, in order of cupidity, I want a Rustler 42 (if only because of the engine room) a Halberg Rassy 64 or (Mobo alert!) any of the Windys on display. That is all.......

But none of you came to say hello to us on the Sirius boats! Mind you it was very busy all day, and all week.

I was very disappointed in the rustler - I felt that they had lost their way in providing tough go-anywhere boats to people who really wanted to sail into the wild blue yonder - I thought their present offerings, though nice, had no great advantage over many other lesser brands! I liked the specialist niche ones - the bestewinde, the exploration45(?), and for an entry boat, the Winner.

it was six o'clock before we even got anywhere near the pontoons! SIBS for me = too big! We didn't look at any boats at all.
