How do I actually use two rubber springs for mooring? Each end of the rubber has 3 holes. What is the recommended approach for using these?

The boat has survived without springs for 5 years but after the threads around cleats being pulled out due to inconsiderate fellow mobos I thought I would pick up a couple just in case I ever moor in an 'at risk' location.

Do you mean a mooring compensator? I have some with two holes in each end. On mine you thread the warp through the holes in one end then coil it two or three times round the central rubber core and then through the holes on the other end to lock it all off. the rubber then stretches and the warp is allowed to move via its coils. If you google mooring compensator you can see pics. Or have I got the wrong product?

Thanks. Spot on. Nice to know the proper name for these.
