No not a commercial post /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wey hey its kick off time /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif your annual blood sweat and tears also Known as the Southampton International Boat Show, me just arrived back to IOM office to pick up the 39 demo and head of again to Liverpool on her at 03.00(eek thats only three hours away /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif), onto transport at 09.00 and bomb off down to show ground ahead of transport to meet new 47 arriving from yard and 41 coming up from Hamble.

Lots of hard graft between now and the 14th but it will all be worth it.

So an open invitation to all forum chums to come and see us and have a drinkey poo and might even stretch to a sausage on a stick /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif if anyone wants to use the stand as base to drop off coats, bags or troublesome childern /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif feel free I promise not to nick anything!

Look forward to seeing you all, lets hope for some good weather!.

Best of luck to all those on here from the sharp end of the industry too, may we all have something to shout about by the end of the show, and to all the demo drivers out on the solent during and post show.......stop trying to run my poor skipper over /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Doh!
You and Jez
I think We should Re- Name the Mobo Forum.
The Absolute Westline Forum.
The "AWFUBAB" In Initials.
I know it does sound like a Zulu war Cry.
What it would really stand for is---
"All [--word removed--]%ers Follow Us Buy A Boat"
"Rorke's Drift ,Madam/Sir?
Not a problem
kawasaki will see you through the Swellies"
Now there's a thought!
See Ya on the 14th /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Cheers

"Word Removed" What's wrong with "Welsh Followers"?
I dunno, this Forum.
Racism I reckon.
Oh well, back to the Lounge then /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thats great, Trev, thats solved a prob for us. We've got a large hairy dog that we need to park somewhere on Preview Day. He's sort of house trained but I would'nt let him too near the sausages on sticks and I'd keep him off the upholstery, if I was you
Is'nt it great how forumites keep helping each other out

I've also got 2 dogs and an incontinent mother in law. We're planning on a weeks holiday snd they all fancy a few days at SIBS. Presume Saturday to Saturday is ok with you? They all like sausage on sticks. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just goes to prove, "That a friend in need is a bloody nuisance!" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looking forward to seeing some Absolutely nice boats. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Trev,

This year, can you use seat cushions without Absolute logo's. It took poor Mrs SV an age to hand pick off the logo's from the cushions we nicked last year.

Also, the bog wasn't working on the 39, I did flush but I don't thing there was any water.

It is great the way we help each, thanks.
We'll leave Callum with you then, while we look at the boats in the water and do try a boat, should only be 3 or 4 hours, Callum should only needs 3 nappy changes, fed water and his regular medicine, oh and you'll need to constantly play with him!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Look foward to seeing the boats, and enjoying the champers a sausages!!/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cheers

Al.

Nice new avatar - welcome to the world of real boats. Your complimentary pipe and slippers are in the post.

I quiet fancy Westline cushions this year, should compliment the Absolute ones nicely.

Hope the bog is connected /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hope you posted them first class, so as i get comfortable with them before i meet Trev at SIBS.

And regarding the cushions at Westline......................Not if we get there first!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Cheers

Al.

OK it's a deal.

You get the cushions and I'll have the props /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Trev, is the 47 going to be in the water or should I be heading towards the stand for a VIP tour? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I would also quite like to drop of a pair of troublesome parents - could you accommodate?

Ha ha, very funny guys /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I shall have you know we have extra security this year and anyone caught nicking our stuff will be frog marched down to hamble and sent out with Skippy on the 47 after the show and she will be told 'show em what it can do' ....that'll wipe the smile off yer face /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif brown trousers all round!.

Well I made it to Liverpool at 06.30 this am on the 39, Mr weather man got it wrong (again), around 04.30 twas decidedly lumpy! my poor crew was hueying like a trooper. Was a bit my fault he hadn't experienced a night passage in a bit of wind before and being so overcast it was pitch black so you couldn't tell when to brace. Enterance to the Mersey channel was interesting with wind over tide and 6 or eight tankers trying to run you over in the dark, was good though, made me sweat for a bit and start thinking back to classroom days. She is on transport now and on way to Hamble and we are now comfortably retired to apart at Ocean Village waiting for boats to arrive from the yard albeit me is shattered already /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Its all happening though lots of nice stuff gathered up in Hamble marinas and here waiting for their slot to move up to the Marina part of the show.

No worries though if peeps want to drop stuff off at the stand and collect later, we have a storgae area under the platform up to the boats, no childern or infirm parents though, we might sell them off if the show is a wash out /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh my gawd Al /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif whats happened, you poor soul, I knew you were not ready to meet that Irish mad man, admit it he took you to a secret place and subjected you to ten hours of Victor Meldrew whining about sports cruisers and you cracked.

I blame myself, you were just not ready for that type of punishment, report to class tomorrow and we'll see if we can repair the damage /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif mind you it looks a severe case, you might need the full monty treatment of 1 minute on a 47 to make you snap out of it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
