OK, so SIBS 07 has passed for me, and what a show it was! It was definitely the biggest this year, and from queuing at 8:30 until leaving at 5pm I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
So I’ll start at the beginning and work onwards!
So, we arrived a bit earlier (well, quite a lot earlier) than expected – big thanks to the sat nav and other motorway users who decided to stay at home and not clog up the roads for us! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
We were about four families away from the start of the queue, at five to ten the gates were taken away and everyone shuffled forward, before once again queuing at the main gate! We were the first in the ‘Print @ Home’ queue and raring to go, with the Try-a-boat clearly marked on the map with fastest route directions attached /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
So we entered, running past numerous leaflet-givers who all seemed slightly miffed but after crossing two bridges and about 5 miles of land we arrived – third in the queue and the MBM Phantom was taken, along with the Sealine! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Bit of a shock but we decided to let it go, so we set off in search of some boats! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Starting off with this Sea Ray – A big contender for a possible new boat for me next year:
Shower in the bow next to the boarding ladder – a nice touch, there is one at the back also:
The only thing I disliked about the boat was that the bow seemed to dip far too much for my liking, but out of the water it may have just been parallax error:
A couple of others on the stand:
This was the view of the Bladerunner from the Sea ray stand, which always makes an appearance at boat shows – nobody is ever quite sure as to why it’s there but we still love it!
The show was looking good from this angle but we were willing the sun to come out properly:
The Linetti something or other – nice from the outside but interior finish was poor IMO, and let’s not go into the orange one /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
The Manhattan 60:
Yours truly enjoying the helm arrangement:
Very nice seating arrangement, presumably for when you fancy congregating to talk to the driver:
Nice shower arrangement:
(P.S: For a Sunseeker towel for only £15.95 please PM me /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif )
The Flybridge of the 60:
Can I get this wheel installed on my beloved Binnie???
OK, so that is the first part done – I will return shortly with Part 2!
