The shroud base plate on our Dehler 29 has developed a leak. With a slow drip when it rains.
After removing the through deck bolts the plate is still stuck fast to the deck and shows no sign of any movement.
There was a trace of water in one of the bolt holes - suggesting that was the source of the leak.
It is not clear if the leak is from the top of the plate and past the bolt head, or under the plate.
Any suggestions on how to shift the plate from the deck - without damaging the grp - so new sealant can be applied?
The mast is down for re-rigging so it's the opportunity to do a proper fix.
Also what would be the best sealant for the job?
Thanks
