Hi - next job is refitting the plumbing to include pressure water system and a small shower. Looking for views on what size hot cater tank (calorifier) to fit and how big to make the extra water storage tank. Currently thinking of a 55L hot tank, does this sound about right for two up, and hadding a 200L flexible tank to the 250L fixed tanks. Will not have a water maker dut will have facility to take rain water of the deck into the flexible tank if needed.

Hi,
a total of 450 litres of fresh water seems adequate. We now have a luxurious 1200 litres, but on a 48 footer that's easy. We used to haave 350 litres on our former boat, a Nicholson 35, with a 22 litres calorifier. That worked well for the two of us. Whenever we had guests, we had to make sure we had shorepower to heat up the water after the first two hav had their showers. Heating up of the small colorifier took about 20 mins. so not a real prob. 55 litres seems more than adequate, we now have 45 which is fine. Remember: the larger the calorifier, the longer it takes to heat it up...
cheers

We have 400 litres which lasts the two of us about 10-14 days without conciously watching the levels. We shower twice a day on that.
