So there is quite a festive spirit up here in Preston Marina - as has been the case in all of the marinas I've been in over previous Christmases.

I prefer the subtle warm fairy light look, and Elizmor's next-door-neighbour in the boatyard has gone for some coloured balls which look good on his boat too - here we are sitting pretty:

The boatyard owners are joining in with the spirit of things, they have put a lit Christmas tree up the top of their boat lift crane!

Bit of a story about that - http://elizmor.co.uk/blog/christmas-lights/ if you're interested.

So let's see your lights!

Ive added some LED lights up the forestay and backstay on my E-Boat which is still afloat. The boat looks like a big xmas tree in the marina! lol
I'll take a pic tonight and put it up in the morning. Its nothing fancy, but the bairns like it. Thats £12 of the finest Tesco xmas lighting well spent.

I love Christmas lights (a bit of a light fetish fed by cheap LEDs). I have white security lights around the house run from solar and battery on a timer and now 2 strings of LED coloured lights. Sadly the biggest problem is that it is almopst summer solstice so sunset is late about 7.30 PM so not so much airing of lights like one could have in UK.
Anyway tonight is our club big Christmas bash /twilight sail. I hope to see lots of Christmas lights on boats. Might be a bit blowy as the heat wave has ended for the time being.
Merry Christmas to all especially jellyelly on her new boat. olewill
