Show of Hands - County Towns Tour

Booked to see them in Exeter, third time this year. Excellent act, buy their dvd, great value. Local guys from Topsham, Phil Beer took part in the Tall Ships race this year, and they both have boats on the Exe so there is a tenuous link to scuttlebut.

We see Show of Hands quite often, usually about a dozen times each year, so you could say we're keen on their music. I reckon they are one of the best live bands in the country - entertaining, musical, engaging with the audience etc. Brilliant musicians.

Speaking to Phil Beer at their Warwick gig 2 weeks ago he tells me that he is currently boat hunting. After two months this summer on the splendid Pegasus this summer he now has a "proper wooden boat" as his objective. He's looked at a wooden folkboat but wants something a bit bigger.

So there may yet be a Show of Hands thread in Scuttlebutt, giving pearls of wisdom on the subject of boat choice.

P.S. our last boat was named after one of their songs, "Seven Days", which is about the sea and has some marvellous lines.
