Confesion time or Time for a rant

1. Happily tacking down the Orwell nearly to Trinity 7 Quay, about 12:10.
On starboard tack when coming down river under our port side is a 30ft-ish moter-sailer on colision course.
They looked at us, we looked at them, they kept on coming.
In the end we had to pay of 40 degrees to duck under their stern.
This had me shouting at them.
Didn't take a blind bit of notice!!!!
I think Sailorman saw the incident.
Didnt get the name of the boat or it would be on here now

2. Heading up though the mooring at Ramsholt (8 Knot and now wash limit) there is a few speed boats coming down river at hump speed kicking up a large wash.
Managed to get head to head with one.
He got shouted as as well.
He did slow down after that for a while.
Why do they have come though mooring like that?
Quite a few more came though that way while we were packing up.

Rant over.

Wasn't it foggy out this afternoon.
We couldn't see across the main shipping channel by Landguard.
I actualy called Harwich VTS from by the Shelf bouy to check it was clear to cross.

Did you see that nice Nic 43 with 5 fenders deployed on the Port side whilst sailing, he did the same yesterday ( s/h apparently so not able to stow them  )

Oooh.. I think I saw you... Are you blue?

If so, I waved at yer missus as you went past me on the mooring at Pin mill this AM whilst I was eating a bacon sandwich....

We waved at CliveG near the Orwell Bridge and saw Sailorman the previous day as we headed to anchor in the Stour for the night. Cracking sail all the way from Foxs entrance to The lightships off Shotley. Thanks for the pic Rog.
