Shouldn't a letter from our Committee be signed by an Officer of the Club?

Does a letter purporting to be from the Committee have any validity if it is unsigned?

The letter I have received from them simply ends in 'xxx Sailing Club Committee (2014)', I would have thought it should have been signed by one of the Officers of the Club on behalf of the Committee.

Not always required unless it is either an Invite or a rejection. As it is on the Clubs letter head it should be OK.

It would be interesting to know if the committee as a whole has ever seen or heard of this letter.

If a sailing club committee took the time to draft such a rule it would probably be a pretty dire club to be a member of!
