Should we visit Albania and Montenegro on our way to Croatia?

We are going from Corfu to Split in September with our boat. We would like to stopover in Albania but we don't know where the best spot is. Anyone who could give us some advice?

Other ports are interesting, busy and commercial. Anchorages are mostly exposed, so weather dependent. Ignore warnings about maritime minefields.

Absolutely you must visit Albania - Sarande at least. Montengro is a must. A 7 day vignette will give you time to cover the bits you need to see - Kotor is a must. See other threads currently doing the rounds about Albania and Sailaboutvic's Croatian thread.
