hi lisa....in my experience, the moment you book n pay your hard earned cash for a space on certain weekend, that "tips off" the weather gods to "do their worst"...as you know, with me its just a case of, if the weathers good, im off !!!..i have in the past posted (on here) about plans over the "next weekend at mercury" and that has worked brilliantly... eg. 4 boats inc me n mine went to weymouth, and back, for a day!!!..WHAT A LAUGH!!!!, (in the days before the video cam)...............the great thing about doing it that way is 1, no entrey fee..2, no formal plans..3,you all look after each other..4, anybody feels their not "getting value for money"? no prob!!!.......we just arranged vhf chl, rough route and guess who got nominated to be chief shepherd and vhf spokesman (harbour control calls etc).....it was a loooooong day with cloudless skies and a horrendous F1,2 !!!!!....BLO*DY FAB DAY...................................well thats how i like doing it but each to their own !!!!!!
