Should I go to SIBS

I was planning to go on Tuesday. It will cost me £30 train fare, £11 to get in with a voucher. I will take my own lunch . . . .
Planning to buy: new sailing bag luggagy thing. 3 new gas auto +harness lifejackets and a rearm kit, binoculars.
Planning to look at/talk to people about: water tanks, Cabin light fittings http://www.cabin.dk/Default.aspx?tabid=523&language=en-US Trying to find a jerrycan with a tap at the bottom, and talk to some hardware people about genoa tracks and cars.
Maybe also sneak around look at a few boats but I have a boat and that would just be boatspotting


Question: is it worth it? Or shall I just do internet shopping and live without the boatspotting?

I went on Friday - picked up a Nexus NX Start Pack 1 (wind, depth, log) for £75, instead of c.£400, a drill shirt for £12, and a rail mountable disposable BBQ holder for £25 none of which I planned to buy and a Southerly hard backed brochure for the price of a few minutes looking around two of their 35 footers, again neither of which I planned to buy (and didn't) - but its a very nice book. I don't think I've ever been able to justify a visit on the basis of economics, but it certainly beats a day in the office, which was the alternative. I wouldn't give up a day's sailing to go. If the weather is nice on Tuesday I think it would be worthwhile.

depends if you want a day out or not.... No real bargains at the show all RRP prices and not too many boats either, lots of empty space where retailers used to be i was finished within 4 hours at the show, decided it was better to deal online if you want a bargain....

It's a good day out if the weather is kind like saturday ! but would of rather been out sailing !

Went Saturday & enjoyed it, no real bargains but went & drooled on lots of yachts
