First boat for me I was looking at 15-16ft fletchers being sensible!
but spotted this, probably very impractical, not much use on coastal waters and not enough power, but i just really like it.

I know its a daft colour with crazed gelcoat, but sometimes you just want to buy with your heart not your head!
So if it is a dreadfull idea please tell me? so i stop keep looking at it!!!!!

I have one of those as my river toy and I really like it - OK for about £1200 off eBay.... It will whizz with a 40hp, mine has an old 60hp that I cannot take advantage of. But search on YouTube and there are some fun videos of these. Sorry to be rushed, am out and about

Thanks for that link some great boats on there , as much as a family fun coastal speedboat was my initial train of thought these classic boats are really capturing my imagination .

All a matter of personal choice...If you want it, buy it ! On a personal level I would rather have the dell quay in the background but that's what makes us all marvellously unique & different. As thay say..."whatever floats your boat":D...unless you are into submarines:p

i would first ask my self what do i want to use a boat for, how many people do you want to carry, is it river/coastal use, if you want a boat that looks mint, then the broom, if you want a boat you can use, bang have loads of fun and not worry about marks and scraps then may be another boat is better.

My first boat was a 17ft Fletcher and was great until i cracked the windscreen:o
Fletcher are good for river and inland sea use and i can recommend them.

Will agree with you the broom is a very nice looking classic boat.
