No this is not meant as a serious post but certain moboers seem hell bent on having an argument today so they may as well get stuck into something that REALLY MATTERS ;)

So you are proceeding along the pontoon with your trolley laden with beer and you come head to head with 6 'all male' raggies pushing a trolley with kit bags, sails and a pile of 1970's moccasins .

With equal distance to the closest passing point who should yield ?

Pontoon is wide enough for two trolleys if you're careful - both keep going, exchange polite greetings as you pass. Sorry, no drama here :)

OOOps forgot to mention there is a set of sails drying on the pontoon causing a partial blockage ;)

Ah but since the pontoon is like a narrow channel the raggies will start tacking at random as the mobo beer approaches :(

is this a reference to raggies testosterone levels or to the fact that most raggie crews are male because their wimin can't accept the discomfort and general unpleasantness of raggie cruising?

I only added that bit as obviously you are going to step to the side and wait while babes wiggle past the protruding bows . :)

The beer always, regardless of who it is. I thought beer always had the right of way on a pontoon.

thats my thought to be honest, trolley full of beer means you are heading out, may have a tide to catch, if they are coming the opposite way they are coming back in ,then they should shift , pronto !;)

What's a pontoon?
Why is boat equipment in a trolley (unless we're in a supermarket)?
Why isn't the boat gear all sorted out beforehand or after they've gone home?
Why are shoes for when you're boating?
Why isn't the mobo-er's beer already on his boat?

I think anyone would know that beer exposed to warm air on it's passage to the next fridge is of equivalent urgency to the RNLI responding to a mayday.. The more concerning question would be, is the fridge cold? :)

Well pontoon can be used to refer to a game of cards but in this instance thinking more floating device as a linked conveyance to cross water like a Baily bridge ;)

Time for game of chicken. Both should accelerate to ramming speed and may the best man win. Obviously the beer will add momentum but if 6 blokes are pushing the force may be too much.

Interesting spectacle whatever happens!!
