Shotley to St Kats

Sorry guys, stuck in the office with no charts, almanac etc. I am planning to take the boat down to St. Kats this weekend and need to get my arrival time right. Please can somebody be kind enough to give me the approx. distance between Shotley (Harwich) and St. Kats Haven, London.

About 65 miles, give or take a few. That was using straightish transits not allowing for dodging sandbanks, etc.

From Macmillan/Reeds distance table Harwich to London Bridge is 83nm. Stated to be most direct route, avoiding dangers and allowing for traffic seperation schemes! Paul

I bow to the official figures, mine was a back of a fagpacket job based on four quick lines taken off my PC based charts.

My system (for deep draft jobbies) shows 86nm.

That will be using any channels etc. You will doubtless be able to cut some corners.
