Clear blue skies, pure calm water almost mirror like. What more could you want?! (oops, hit 'post' before I'd finished...)So, took the bull by the horns as they say and gave the old lacking confidence a boost by taking her out early over to Osbourne Bay. Tame I know but it was a desperately needed short trip to regain some faith in myself. Anchored up for a couple of hours, basked in the sunshine, watched an attempt at water skiing (c'mon, own up, who was it who kept falling in :D) then turned around and came back to attempt the now dreaded berthing process. WooHoo...straight in, no messing, no bashing no twirling just a touch of power, turn and pure momentum :D :D. Ok, there was no wind or current to make it tricky but hey, sad as this must sound to many of you..I was sooo chuffed! AND to top it off, I have actually used the chart plotter successfully. Never used one before, the boat came with one but no user manual so we used this little trip to give it a proper go and it was brilliant!!! (don't worry, I will still do the paper work as well :)). Wow, it just makes it even more enjoyable! Love it, love it, love it. Poole, here we come!!:D.
Ok, demented 'chuffedness' over, just wanted to share.
