I'm sure last year (only had the boat a month before it came out of drink) when I plugged in the shore power, all my charge lights lit up to show it was charging the batteries. They only stay up to amber this year, but shore power is OK as 240 plugs work. What am I doing different? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

What state are your batteries in?
Have you checked them?
What ampage is the battery charger?
Could be that the batteries are discharged (did you have them plugged in over the winter?) and the charger is taking it's time to bring them 'up'. Or they could be fried or dry or otherwise gone bad.

Good point, but I put it back in the boat just before plugging in yesterday. I don't think iot actually says. The handbook isn't very user freindly towards newbies, only techies!

Could be a bit more helpful with the info.......
How many lights are there? What colours? Is it possible fewer lights means more charging needed and max lights means all tip top or is it other way round?

What did 'winterising' mean? Who did it? Do you believe them?
Have you got a Digital Volt Meter? If not get one (theyre dirt cheap) and learn how to measue battery state and charging outputs.

4 red, 2 amber, 2 green. It is on the 2nd amber on batt only ( 2 of them) and went onto the top green once shorepower was plugged in before, but can't remember what needed switching over. The batteries were removed by the engineer and refitted, may give them a ring.

I'd like to learn a little here, as I think my batteries are on the way out.......... so as not to disrupt this thread, could you pm any info ? Much appreciated.
