Thanks for posting your mini cruise report Searush :)

You are allowed to post photos on the mobo forum while underway with sails up too you know (edit agreed that might be tricky taking said photos) .

Is that you with the hat on pouring petrol into a yellow plastic bucket, apologies for being pedantic but under health and safety I really should point out the guy holding the plastic bucket of petrol isn't wearing a life jacket

Are sails supposed to go up then? If you look carefully I hadn't bothered putting the Genoa on the roller foil, so there never really was any intent of using sails that day.

That is Kwaka. I am behind the phone taking the piccy. The yellow bucket, I was surprised to find, is a very sophisticated filtered funnel & the red cans are specialist fast filler cans for motorcycle racing. They were topping up the emergency fuel tank. Phil & Liz were sorting out the fuel pipes at the engine end. It looked very technical & I could have done with the Major handy to help me offer facetious advice as I was out of my depth on my own with so many techies there. ;)

I am on the wheel of Sea Rush as we leave the marina before the owner came looking for payment.:p

The BBC were not available to film the events that day so there was no H&S manager to insist on L/J's before stepping onto pontoons. Mine are Auto's anyway, so I try not to wear them in the rain . . .

When you say using sails , I very rarely see sails been used as such, I'm from the solent where they are hoisted for aesthetic reasons and attempts at claiming right of way :)

Steve No way is that a marina. Its a dock with a few pontoons some of which have recently been sunk! Not that I am casting aspertions with regards your mobo mooring skills:D

Dave the dock master says I need to collect your stop over dues about £10 will do.:D

Sorry I missed you I but I had just enjoyed SAILING from Abermenai. overtaking a motoring baby Westerley on the way. Heavy old girls:)

We were locking in to the Dock watching you rigging your footballs:D.

Steve

That baby Westerly was probably the Pageant out of Caernarfon who overnighted at Llandwyn. They are either braver than me or didn't realise the risks in that weather! Those 3' diam fenders are brilliant, they keep me off the slate quay a treat, but probably a bit of over kill for a social visit to a marina.

It may not have any lock gates, but it has pontoons, boats parked in rows like cars, walls & fences & sort of locked gates, and it's full of MoBos that never go out, that makes it a marina to me.

Docks have 30' sheer walls & ladders, like Penrhyn or the Slate Quay & dry out as shale or 10' of soft mud. OK, Dinorwic has the 10' of soft mud too. :D

Typical........ I got stung for calling in the lock the week before..... mind you i did stay overnight :)

Tom

Blymee, I only had time for a cup of tea & a few facetious remarks.

I did offer the remains of a bottle for sacrifice out of the funbox, but they seemed a little delicate from the previous evenings entertainment and, as it was peeing down, no-one could tell if the sun would be over the yard arm or not.

"no-one could tell if the sun would be over the yard arm or not."

Since when did you need an excuse like that.:D
Nice picks of your w/e by the way.:)

Thanks, well, you know me Dave, I would have just assumed it was. But Liz told us it was far too early & insisted on supplying tea. I was far too polite o refuse.

BTW, Philliz seems to be having a pleasant time relaxing & walking Jim, the dog by the pics on FB, so they should be posting a cruise report shortly.

My full report is on the SBC forum if you are interested, Dave.
