sho8uld garmin colour chart plotters come with full instructions?

friends of ours have just purchased via an internet chandler a new garmin gps/colour plotter unit - the unit did not come with any detailed instruction manual which to me seems very odd - can any forum member please clarify whether it should have?

Many Items of this sort are supplied with a Cd or DVD that contain the Full Manual and any ancillary software to link the product to a computer. Sad but it is cheaper than printing and we all want as much for our money as possible.

Mine certainly did. Very informitive it was too.

I also downloaded a .pdf copy from the garmin website. It now resides aboard getting fingered, whilst the pukka book is at home.

yes it should mif it's a new sealed box unit - request one from the dealer!

you can get one from the garmin website as a download but you would want the real ting onboard!
