We've got around from the East Coast to where you can see through the water and confirmed to ourselves that you really can anchor between Mousehole and St Clement's Isle (just visible to right of pic). The biggest problem is small fishing boats using the channel as a short cut at unspeakable hours! The admiral did complain that "it's a bit rolley" after what seemed to me and the dog to be a quiet night.

By the way, we have been out of Internet touch for a few weeks now, so thanks to all those forumites who have been uploading action pics to yourboatpix.

Just a bit further round to the right you'd see our 'gaff'.

We like to see our anchor occasionally to see if it has dug in. Went aground once on the East Coast, about 6 miles out! The water seemed to be the same colour as the mud.

On a scale of anything, I think I prefer the West Country sailing!

And fishermen are fishermen the world over. They are not bad people but have NO concept of the effect they have on other water-users! Wash, sailing in circles, lobster pots in the middle of fairways, stupid lobster pots too with long floating lines et al!

It's the price we pay ...

It always surprises me slightly to discover that forumites are actually people and not just avatars!

Looks like we will be putting back our departure, with 7s and 8s in the forecast, so we will stop by later and say hello.
