Does anybody know if B arnicales stop growing in winter or at least slow down???,i ask as have decided to keep mmmy boat on the mooring to do some Winter boating.

I think there a bit like daffodils and go to bed for the winter.

Well mine come up during the winter unlike your autumn flowering variety.

Yes barnacles do grow during the winter, but much slower.

I hate barnacles, can't stand the way they look and now i hate 'em even more, 'orrible things, that looks like a picture of an alien! I am always trying to resist the tempation of scraping the horrible little crusty eyesores off piles etc in marinas but never do as I am sure they will just find another home on other peoples boats, including my own!!
