Is it just me ?

I spent 90 minutes applying to change licence to new owner.

Is it the most off putting and complicated website to use or is it just me.

I can buy most things on line why is this so complicated .

I eventually got my radio licence which used to be one page it is now 12.

Not the first to have reported difficulties. They can either send me a new one, whenever, or get stuffed.

It's a turd dressed up as a website. I went through that hell last year, luckily, you probably won't need to do it again!

The site is just ambiguous, that' all.

You are probably applying for a new 'life' time license.

You will have an account if you've had a license before but you need to set up your access to it first. Then surrender a previous one for a previous boat and apply for a new.

If no boat change then just apply for the new life one.

Register first and get the reply email with your password confirmed, get into the site and then phone them.

While on the phone, a staff member will direct you into the area you need and 'bingo' 5 mins later, you'll be done. then just print out your own from a 'pdf' file.

You mentioned the 12 pages so you have probably already been through this but they aren't all needed, that's just for them to justify 6 weeks hols a year, it's the first page you need with MMSI and cal sign etc.

I only mentioned the process above in case someone else is thinking of doing it too.

1. Filled in their on line application
2. Got to the AARRGHH stage
3. E-mailed them to tell them politely that their site was SH 1 T
4. They completed the application and mailed the licence back to me
