Having been on the non-tidal Thames for years I never felt the need to keep a proper log. Now based down on the coast I find I'm regularly referring back to previous trips for info, and also want to start recording more data for example fuel usage etc.
I don't really want a paper based system. Ideally an app on my iphone so that any time and anywhere I feel to need to look something up I have the info with me. Anyone using such a system they would recommend?
I found this on the App Store. Anyone using it?

We use good old pen and paper on the boat, logging miles travelled, fuel used, hours run etc. Then I transfer it to an excel spreadsheet I have set up when we get back home.

I've got it on my phone but I must admit, I completely forget to use it so thanks...you've reminded me. When I was looking for one, this one was the best I could find tbh. Seems to cover everything.

Didn't see Wavetrax when I searched itunes. In the meantime I've downloaded the Boating Suite and will see how it goes. Does seem to be than just a log, and handy to have things like to-do lists for the boat all in one place.

I did try that app but found I was more inclined to not fill it in. With the pen and paper I tend to fill it in on a more regular basis, more often then not daily.
