I've got a s/h TAB furler for sale and a forumite in Spain is interested in buying it but has any one experience of shipping a furler with two sections 4m long plus a box of bits to Spain?
Will it need to be crated to avoid bending it?
Any suggestions as who to use and what it might cost?

RE the foil sections - I shipped a dinghy spinnaker pole not long ago and just strapped it very securely between two slightly longer pieces of wood to prevent bending. (think that's what bert49uk is suggesting). No problems at all.

If you are on the Costa Blanca I know an antique dealer in the Jalon Valley who runs a regular large van service to the UK (Swindon), he often has spare capacity.
I dropped off my dinghy in Swindon, he took it out and stored it for me. Then I picked it up a few weeks later from him in Jalon. All for a ridiculously low charge.
