Pre-empting a new boat purchase here. The new boat is in Alcudia, Majorca.
Deal still yet to be finalised, but,,,,
Does anyone know of, or can recommend a transport service from the Hamble for our personal goods, i.e: tools, boat maintenance bits, bedding, crocks, life jackets...... etc. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi Clive

Assuming you will be in Alcudiamar just use regular couriers FedEx, DHL etc and have the good shipped to the marina office. Speak to Spyros or one of the girls in the office (better bet because Spyros can be a surly bugger) - 0034 971 546000. If you are buying new then I suggest you look at the Mailspeed Marine website as they have a franchisee in the marina (A1 Marine) who charge catalogue price + 12% for shipping and you can pick it up there. There are a couple of other chandleries in the marina as well.

Feel free to PM if you have any queries about Alcudia, I'm happy to help if I can

Hi
If you need to send bulky items you could try White & co.
They run a weekly service to a depot on the island.

€20 changes his demeanour remarkably

Hi. My folks lived on Mallorca for years and in those days the ex-pats all used a firm called Whites, who had a good reputation and made regular trips back and forth to the uk;not sure if they are still in business but if they are they may do you a part-load

Could be. When we were in Alcudia in June, we were told by the office absolutely unequivocally we had to move out the following day despite there being loads of empty berths around us (on the quay leading to the fuel berth). Miraculously €20 in the right place changed their mind
