Certainly looks nice inside but service - yuk!!! Just made mid week lunch time visit and it took 35 mins for them to produce 2 sandwiches! They were not even very nice. When I made a comment about them to the waitress she just smiled and walked away.

Maybe they only want to serve expensive cooked food.

Be aware that you cannot book tables at any time.

Never used the place since they ripped out the showers and got rid of the Real Ale. That said it all to me! May have changed since I was last there though but it doesn't sound like it.

Was there May 5th, Saturday night, bank holiday, place crawling, no tables. They served food to the pub table so we didn't have to wait for a restaraunt table (we could have waited but we were starving and glad to be given the option). They brought the bread/olives early so we did n't starve (despite our late arrival) - food was good with similar pricing to most modern 'pubs done up to sell food too'. I don't know what it was like before. I was surprised they didn't carry at least one or two real ales given the customer base but we all enjoyed it and would be happy to go back.

The food was OK but the decor looks like a Debenhams shop window rather than a pub, although the beer is ok as well. Found the one around the corner more "pub like" (King's Head IIRC)

If you fance a walk then I can definitely recommend Chequers, (advert in the harbour guide)

Went for sunday lunch (14 oct 07). Got a seat no probs, service was excellent. Had 2 1/2 Roast beef dinners. Overall good and £25 for food not bad.

Will go again out of season as we got straight on the town quay as well!

Cheers
