Shingles bank possibly moved SEly

Having left Cowes around 2 hours before HW Portsmouth enroute to Portland we noticed that, despite benin conditions, standing waves were very noticeable from Bridge onwards and the shallow bits were further SE than my Navionics charts was showing (last update April) - 4m rather than 10 :disgust:

I don't recall this being the case last time we headed that way just over a month ago although we would have been a bit later on the tide

St Albans head was rather "interesting" as well

I generally used to head west once abeam of Bridge buoy but in future I won't be doing so until past SW shingles..
