Shillingford Bridge Hotel - shock!

We have stayed in the Hotel a couple of times and also moored there most years. The last visit was over half term, the mooring was £10 including electric, we ate a pleasant bar meal and sat in 1 of the lounges to use the WiFi.

While I agree that doubling the price seems excessive, its actually not bad for the facilities on offer , electric, WiFi, pool etc. On this trip we only had electric on 1 other occassion in a marina, the nights stay cost nearly £25, and it was miles from anywhere and if I'm honest a bit bleak.

I agree the hotel has handled this situation poorly, doubling your prices overnight in the current climate is stupid, but compared with South Coast marinas its still a bargain.

I have just left after staying another two nights.
The first night had 5 cruisers and a narrow boat moored whilst last night had 6 cruisers.
No room left for any other boats.
Demand proves value?
