What a wonder woman-it doesn't matter how good the boat and the rest of the team are, she has achieved an amazing feat. Congratulations Ellen- my hero!

Amazing!!!!! Puts into perspective those 'challenges' we all face when out cruising, I'll certainly think twice before saying that its cold or I am tired again!

Great to see it live on BBC, shame they only seemed to have a mobile phone camera watching Ellen, and didnt htink to take a night vision camera...

Truly magnificent acheivement, and such a modest team judging from the interviews on the box last night. It really seems to have captured the nation's imagination, the emailed congrats on the BBC web site go on for pages.

I've got a stinking cold and was sparko out on the sofa in front of the box following a bottle of medicinal wine. Spookily woke up 1 min before she crossed the line!
