Hi,
I have been buying a lot of stuff during an extensive refit recently from lots of suppliers - some of it quite obscure. The runner up for great service is Keypart (Volvo) spares suppliers - very efficient and well stocked.
In first place is Simon of Sheridan Marine. We ordered some 190mm table leg inserts, most of these things are 150mm dia - this would leave a mess in our cockpit sole so 190mm it must be. Their supplier had stopped supplying. I got a phone call next day asking if I wanted my money back or for them to source alternatives, I opted for the latter. They have opened a new agency with another supplier after spending two weeks tracking a good one down - they called today to say they have done so, ETA after Christmas and is this still OK?
The reason they win is that the best way of judging a company is how they react when things don'g go to plan and not when they go smoothly. Sheridan have been superb - clearly no relationship other than customer/supplier.
